“Further the practice of skeletal radiology - to exchange scientific information through discussion of cases” in keeping with this ethos of BSSR, as an elected BSSR council member, Dr Priya Suresh, on behalf of the executive team, has the pleasure of introducing the “The BSSR Grand Rounds”.
The BSSR Grand Rounds comprise 1-hour virtual meetings with interesting case presentations and detailed discussions. This session will have spinal imaging experts from BSSR and BSNR discussing and presenting cases on “Back Pain”.
We have the pleasure of inviting you to the first Collaborative session with BSNR in the fourth Grand Rounds session on “Back Pain”
Live or on-demand attendance at the ‘Grand Rounds - Back Pain’ session, will entitle participants to 1 CPD point.

- Dr Richard Hughes - Consultant MSK Radiologist at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, part of Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and home of the National Spinal Cord Injury Centre.
Richard has special interests in imaging of spinal injury, general spinal and MSK imaging and associated guided interventional techniques.

- Dr David McKean - Radiology Research Lead for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, Director of the Stoke Mandeville Musculoskeletal & Spinal Radiology Fellowship.
David completed his training at the Oxford School of Radiology and sub-specialised in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

- Dr Shubhabrata Biswas - Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Liverpool.
BSNR grand rounds lead
Dr. Biswas is a Consultant Neuroradiologist at The Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Liverpool. He did his specialist training in Radiology in the Mersey Deanery followed by a subspeciality Fellowship in Neuroradiology at The Walton Centre. His main interests are in Epilepsy imaging, cerebrovascular imaging, imaging of the spine and spinal interventional procedures. Dr. Biswas has a strong interest in teaching and training. He is the College Tutor for Clinical Radiology at his Trust and regularly teaches at Radiology and Neurosciences courses in UK and abroad. He is a member of the Training and Education sub-Committee of the British Society of Neuroradiologists (BSNR) and is the Lead for the BSNR Grand Round programme. Dr. Biswas is a co-investigator and collaborator for several research projects and has many publications and posters to his name. He has also won several awards for his work. Dr. Biswas is also a reviewer for several peer reviewed Radiology and Neurosciences journals.
