BSSR Grand Rounds - Knee Pain

About This Event

"Further the practice of skeletal radiology - to exchange scientific information through discussion of cases" in keeping with this ethos of BSSR, as an elected BSSR council member, Dr Priya Suresh, on behalf of the executive team, has the pleasure of introducing the “The BSSR Grand Rounds”.

The BSSR Grand Rounds comprise 1-hour virtual meetings with interesting case presentations and detailed discussions. The case presentations will be delivered by fellow/senior trainees followed by detailed discussions delivered by the Consultants.

Speakers:

Dr Raj Chari - Chronic, post-operative, and other causes of knee pain.

"Dr. Raj Chari is a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, a part of Oxford University Hospitals, UK. He works alongside multidisciplinary orthopaedic sarcoma board and regional sports and exercise medicine (OXSPORT) team. He works closely with complex hip and knee team at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, home for 'Oxford Knee Replacement'. He is a member of British Patellofemoral Society.
He completed a structured radiology specialist registrar training from the Mersey Deanery, Liverpool, UK. He travelled to Canada for a year and completed musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the McGill University, Montreal. He obtained the British Society of Skeletal Radiology (BSSR) travel scholarship in 2016 and had an opportunity to experience musculoskeletal intervention in Strasbourg, France. His further qualifications include Membership of Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS), MSc in diagnostic imaging from Oxford University and Diploma from European Society of Skeletal Radiology (EDiR).
Dr. Chari’s career has been a good balance between clinical and academic roles. He has shown an immense passion towards research and academic activities. He has authored and co-authored a number of medical publications. He participates in CME activities regularly and speaks at a number of national and international conferences every year. He has been appointed as FRCR2b examiner and a member of RCR AAC panel."

Dr Chee Yip Kan - Acute Knee

"Dr Chee Yip Kan is currently a Musculoskeletal Radiology Fellow at Oxford University Hospitals, based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. He completed specialist radiology training in Merseyside under the North West School of Radiology training scheme and due to start as an MSK radiologist at the Royal Liverpool University Hospitals in 2023."
